Our take
Iron Lung adapts the indie game as a convict pilots a tiny sub through an ocean of blood on a ruined moon. Rated R for language, bloody images, and some gore, Markiplier's feature is mostly one man in a metal coffin hearing voices. Variety notes relentless f-word and gooey blood but limited jump scares. Suicide mission dialogue and apocalyptic dread fill the runtime. Best for older teens who handle slow-burn claustrophobia; game fans get more context

Story (may spoil tone)
In a post-apocalyptic future where an event known as "The Quiet Rapture" caused all known stars and habitable planets in the universe to disappear, a convict is sent to search an ocean of blood discovered on a desolate moon, using a small submarine nicknamed the "Iron Lung".
