AMU 16+ * Quality ★★★☆☆

Our take

Suzzanna: Witchcraft is a TV-MA Indonesian horror drama about a woman who learns black magic to avenge her father's murder. Expect witchcraft killings, stabbings, ghost and possession scares, moderate profanity, drinking scenes, and heavy grief over lost parents. A romance subplot stays chaste while revenge drives the plot. Mature teens who handle supernatural horror; not for younger kids

Uplifting themes

Community teamwork surfaces late; revenge themes dominate Religious suitor offers conscience; heroine stays revenge-driven

Talk after watching

  • Suzzanna chooses revenge over honesty with the man she loves. What does the film suggest about where anger leads?
  • Black magic and faith collide in village life. How do characters draw lines between justice and cruelty?
  • Family loss fuels every decision here. How does grief change what people are willing to do?
