Our take
Emmanuelle is an adult erotic drama about desire, travel, and a man who keeps slipping away. Expect sex scenes, underwear, and frank genital talk. Violence and scares are not the point. This is not a teen romance. Keep it for 16+ who can handle explicit sexual content in a slow, stylised film
Story (may spoil tone)
While traveling, Emmanuelle meets Kei, a man who constantly eludes her. Though she indulges in the many alluring distractions, she can’t shake their chance encounter. Will she submit to her basest desires to forge a deeper relationship?

Talk after watching
- The film treats sex as a search, not a joke. What is she actually looking for?
- Consent and curiosity sit next to hotel-room fantasy. Where is the line for you?
- Would this story work without the sex, or is that the whole language of it?
