Our take
Borderlands is a loud sci-fi action comedy: bounty hunters, bandits, and a young girl everyone wants. Expect guns, shooting-in-the-face gags, monsters, drinking, and regular swearing. A child is in real danger in the plot. Fine for 13+ who already play the games or watch superhero fights. Sensitive kids will find it noisy and mean
Story (may spoil tone)
Returning to her home planet, an infamous bounty hunter forms an unexpected alliance with a team of unlikely heroes. Together, they battle monsters and dangerous bandits to protect a young girl who holds the key to unimaginable power.

Talk after watching
- Adults keep using a child as the prize. What should protect her instead?
- Violence is played as a joke. Does it still look like it hurts?
- Found family is the soft centre. Who actually shows up for her?
