The Threesome

Movie 2025 112 min Not Rated Comedy, Romance, Drama
AMU 16+ * Quality ★★★☆☆

Our take

A one-night threesome sparks romance then messy accountability when an old fling returns pregnant. Rated R for sexual material, language, and brief drug use. Reviews say spicy talk outweighs on-screen sex; shower intimacy is implied. Abortion and co-parenting debates add adult stakes. Best for older teens ready for relationship ethics, not kids

Uplifting themes

Integrity, humility, and owning mistakes become the real arc Flawed twenty-somethings grow toward accountability

Story (may spoil tone)

Connor has a threesome with his long-time crush Olivia and an alluring stranger named Jenny. It surprisingly serves as the spark to a full blown relationship with Olivia, until both women end up pregnant and all three are thrust into a difficult journey toward new realities that none of them could have expected.

Talk after watching

  • The title event is mostly off-screen. How does the film handle responsibility afterward?
  • Pregnancy and abortion choices are central. What values does your family want to discuss?
  • Humor mixes with hurt feelings. When is romantic comedy too real?
