The Punisher: One Last Kill

Movie 2026 51 min MA 15+ Action, Drama, Crime
AMU 17+ * Quality ★★★☆☆

Our take

The Punisher: One Last Kill brings Frank Castle back for a brutal standalone special on Disney+ before his next MCU appearance. It carries a TV-MA rating with nonstop tactical violence, bloody gunfights, harsh language, and psychological distress including hallucinations and self-destructive behavior. There is no family-friendly filter here despite the Marvel label. Treat it like mature crime action for adults and older teens who already know the Netflix-era Punisher

Uplifting themes

Loyalty from allies is present, but the story mainly explores the cost of endless revenge

Talk after watching

  • Frank says he wants meaning beyond revenge, yet violence pulls him back. Can a person leave vigilantism behind after trauma?
  • The special is short but extremely intense. How does concentrated brutality compare with a longer superhero movie?
  • Hallucinations of dead allies and family blur Frank's reality. What does that say about untreated PTSD?
  • Marvel fans may expect quips and hope. Why is this story deliberately joyless?
  • Disney+ hosts both kid franchises and TV-MA specials. How do you keep younger profiles on safer settings?
