Warfare

Movie 2025 95 min MA 15+ War, Action
AMU 16+ * Quality ★★★★☆

Our take

Warfare is an R-rated, fact-based Navy SEAL mission film set in 2006 Ramadi, co-directed by a veteran who lived it. The camera stays close to gunfights, explosions, severed limbs, and soldiers in agony, with frequent f-words under fire. A brief medical scene includes male nudity. Best for older teens and adults ready for unflinching war realism, not action-movie thrills

Uplifting themes

Loyalty and sacrifice among soldiers are portrayed with respect SEALs protect each other under impossible conditions

Talk after watching

  • Real veterans helped shape this story. How does firsthand experience change how war is shown?
  • Brotherhood under fire is a major theme. What helps teams stay together in crisis?
  • War films can honor service while showing horror. How do you talk about violence without glorifying it?
