Our take
Caddo Lake is a PG-13 mystery thriller about a girl vanishing near a cursed lake. Child disappearance, family grief, and time-travel horror create sustained tension. Blood injury and animal gore appear briefly. Frequent s-word language during stress. Best for teens who tolerate slow-burn sci-fi horror
Story (may spoil tone)
When an 8-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes on Caddo Lake, a series of past deaths and disappearances begin to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history.

Talk after watching
- The family already carries grief before the vanishing. How does past loss change reactions?
- Time twists make cause and effect confusing. How do you piece together a mystery?
- Swamp settings look beautiful but hide danger. Why do horror stories use isolated places?
