Our take
The Rats: A Witcher Tale is a TV-MA fantasy heist spinoff about six young outlaws who recruit a washed-up Witcher to steal from a noble and kill a monster. Expect frequent f-word profanity, sword-and-monster action, ghosts and nightmare backstory, and a brothel infiltration plan. Characters reference torture, enslavement, and heavy drinking. This is franchise fare for older teens and adults, not family viewing

- A character called a monster turns out to be a cursed girl. How does the film ask who the real villain is?
