A Family Affair

Movie 2024 114 min M Romance, Comedy
ClearAge 13+ Quality ★★★☆☆

Our take

A Family Affair is a glossy comedy: an assistant finds out her movie-star boss is with her mum. Expect some f-word language, sex talk, tequila and wine, and a dead father in the background. Fine for 13+ who already watch grown-up rom-coms. Not a kids film

Story (may spoil tone)

The only thing worse than being the assistant to a high-maintenance movie star who doesn't take you seriously? Finding out he's smitten with your mom.

Talk after watching

  • Work and family get mixed. Where is your line?
  • A parent starts dating someone your age-adjacent. How would you want that talked about?
  • Grief sits under the jokes. Did the film let it be real?
